Recipe for Hope: Our Annual Fall Fundraiser
Join Platform of Hope on Monday, November 9th 2026 at The Festival Center for an evening of good food, family stories, and celebration. At the heart of the night are our families. You’ll hear directly from a POH parent about what this work looks like in everyday life, because their voices are the reason we gather.
Expect a joyful, community-rooted evening with chef hats made by POH kids, a family recipe book, and a warm thank-you to our new and returning partners. Together, we’re raising funds to support families across DC as they build stability and pursue the futures they’ve defined for themselves. Every gift goes directly to the work families tell us matters most.

Adams Morgan Apple Festival with ADMO
Join the Adams Morgan Partnership BID (ADMO) on Saturday, October 24 for its annual Apple Festival, with an heirloom apple tasting from Licking Creek Bend Farm, seasonal activities, and the Apple Pie Baking Contest featuring 16 local bakers.
This year, 100% of pie sale proceeds benefit Platform of Hope. We are so grateful to ADMO for choosing POH as this year's beneficiary and for championing community organizations in Adams Morgan.

Striving for the Future of Families: A Summer Celebration of Hope
Join the Platform of Hope on Wednesday, June 25 at The Festival Center for a joyful evening of comfort food, community tributes, and celebration, plus our signature POH piñata! This summer fundraiser supports 50 Black and Brown families in DC on their journey toward economic and racial justice.
Can’t attend in person? Our online auction runs June 23–27, featuring amazing local items and experiences. All proceeds fuel our work to uplift families and build a more equitable future. Suggested attire: Summer Chic (whatever feels good and makes you smile).

Vision Forward Fundraiser
Join us on Wednesday, June 26th to honor the Platform of Hope’s past, celebrate its present and toast to its future. Hosted at the Adams Morgan staple, The Diner, our fundraiser will feature delicious food, open bar, tributes and of course a POH- piñata! In addition, our online auction will be LIVE for bidding Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28th with items from local businesses, restaurants and organizations. Milestones Coffee Chat: 2023 Annual Report Release + Strategic Planning Check in
Guests joined us on Thursday, March 28th at 10:30am to discuss the learnings from our 2023 Annual Report, as well as updates on progress on our strategic plan! 2023 was a milestone year for us in meeting our initial vision to serve 100 families over 5 years while also completing a five-year plan to guide our future.
